The Gillingham School has recently gained a bit of unwanted attention after teacher Annette Crawford has been formally accused by authorities for promoting a Bitcoin scam named “Yuan Pay Group”. Apparently faculty members who have spotted her messaging victims and telling them they are about to become “filthy rich” complained to the local Bristol Police.
After an initial investigation Crawford was immediately apprehended and taken for additional questioning at the local police station. It seems this teacher was but a small cog in a large fraud network designed to swindle British nationals by promising them an easy way to generate fast money online.
