Ms. Kim lacks accountability for and possible misuse of some school funds at PS 169. In the last school year (2014-2015). Ms. Kim only favored some staff to attend outside PD, while the rest of the staff were informed there was insufficient funds for outside PD, and therefore was closed. She also offered to fly some selected teachers to San Francisco for a three-day workshop, all expenses paid; while the rest of the staff never heard about the out-of-state workshop. In addition, due to insufficient funds, the school had to abruptly end some after school programs earlier than was originally planned. What cause this insufficiency of funds for the afterschool program? We all wondered. In the 2014-2015 SCEP, only Goldmannsour was mentioned as a consultant firm. None of the following consultant firm were mentioned: LitLife, SIOP, IReady, and others; but yet they were paid visiting our school. A third lunch station was purchase last year, but is just sitting there not used. She also bought eleven lounge chairs, each cost $770. This year, I only notice three of them being used. What happened to the rest? Why were so many of them purchased? She also approved the Student Leadership Team… Read more »

This year, she offered the UFT Chapter leader a administrative assistant type of position, that included sorting out issues with the staff attendance on a daily basis, making decisions on resources for the school, as well as making decisions for Monday PDs. Meanwhile, she has four APs and personal secretaries and a business manager (a position our school never had until she took office). In the past the jobs that the UFT Chapter leader is currently doing were all done by the administrators as part of their jobs. Ms. Kim also recently hired a F-Status ESL: push-in teacher; who is a very good friend of one of the APs. This ESL teacher was allowed to do one-one-one teaching with a student, while the others must have a group of six or more students.

1. a first grader was in tantrum, he kicked and slapped Jaela Kim, she called 911 instead of doing any kind of emotional intervention for a just first grader.
2. Jaela Kim having the literacy coach and UFT leader to create 6 sessions of Teacher choice time on 6 Mondays PD, the choices are Meditation, Dance, scrapbooks etc., instead of a school wide PD training for dealing with School Crisis according to Chancellor reg. How does meditation help instruction?
3. Jaela Kim clearly stated that she does not like having level books, guided reading last year, but now guided reading is coming back. Materials are thrown and now they are buying them back again. No DRA but now F & P.
4. In the snapshot report, she got the lowest rating in leadership comparing previous years.

This Commie bitch should take a hike. Yet another one trying to instill her country/religious values on school kids. This person does notbelong in our school system or our country.

Profound teacher that is changing the way people view education for the new generation of children. She was put into a difficult situation due to the racial tension in the neighborhood where her school resides (and often UNmentioned fact), and has excelled. Keep up the good work and don’t let those H@ters get you! They are just living in the past…
